Gujarat Election 1st Phase: 68% Voter Turnout

Election Commission has announced 68% Voter Turnout in the 1st phase of Gujarat State Assembly election. In 2012 the voter turnout was 71.2%

Surendranagar, Morbi, Navsari regions recorded highest vote percentage of 75%. There are totally 182 Assembly seats in Gujarat, out of which 89 seats went to poll in 1st phase

Saurashtra & South Gujarat regions went to polls. Total 977 candidates are in fray. In 2012 election BJP had won 63 seats & Congress won 26 seats.
