Delhi - Underground Green Corridor Proposed For Safe Movement of Wildlife

 - After survey, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Forest Department have proposed underground Green Corridor in Surajkund-Pali Road near Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary

- In the last six years, many (some say 4 some say 6) Leopards were killed after being hit by speeding vehicles - Underground Green Corridor is planned to save wildlife

- Deputy Commissioner of Forest said "We are planning block the way connecting underground corridor to the road so that the wild animals do not go to the road"

- A Leopard was found dead on June 28. Forest officials believe it was one of the three big cats that lived in the Asola sanctuary for over a year

- Officials said the area was connected to Aravali Belt and thus witness the frequent movement of wildlife in Asola Sanctuary
