 - 21,349 companies spent Rs. 21,231 Crores Corporate Social Responsibility CSR Funds in 2019-20

- In 2018-19 CSR expenditure was at Rs 18.728 Crores - In 2017-18 CSR spent was Rs 13,909 crs

- CSR are spent by Companies for the welfare of workers and local people in the country

- All data related to CSR spending filed by companies in MCA21 registry can be seen in the website www.csr.gov.in

- Under Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013, every company having net worth of Rs. 500 crore or more, or turnover of Rs 1000 crore or more, or net profit of Rs 5 crore or more in the immediately preceding financial year are mandated to undertake Corporate Social Responsibility CSR activities
