Foxconn To Setup Rs 8,000 Crore Plant in Karnataka

 - Taiwan Electronics Manufacturing Company & Apple iPhone Manufacturing Vendor, Foxconn, to setup Rs 8,000 Crore manufacturing plant at Doddaballapura in Karnataka 

- The $967.91 million (Rs 80 billion i.e., Rs 8000 Crore) plant aims to provide 50,000 jobs

300 acres Land near Bengaluru International Airport allotted for the Investment by Karnataka Government: 300 acres of KIADB land at Devanahalli General Industrial area (ITIR) Doddaballapura and Devanahalli Taluk Bangalore Rural District

- Foxconn investment is among the 18 projects worth Rs 75,000 crore approved by the Karnataka State Government

- Among the 18 projects approved by Basavaraj Bommai Government 10 are new, 5 are expansion projects, 3 are additional projects

- The notable companies whose investments are approved are Tata Advanced Systems, Amplus Active, Ayana Renewable Power, Viswaraj Sugar Industries

- 77,600 Jobs are expected to be generated with the Rs 75,000 crore 18 projects cleared by the State Cabinet
