Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum:

Lord Krishna was born as 8th Child of Sri Vasudeva and Mata Devaki inside a Jail at Mathura. Kamsa a cruel demon was cousin brother of Maata Devaki. A heavenly voice prophesied that 8th Child of Vasudeva and Devaki will kill Kamsa. Having heard that heavenly voice, Kamsa kept both Vasudeva and Devaki in a prison and killed their Children soon after their birth.

Lord Sri Krishna took avatar as 8th child of Vasudeva and Devaki. Under divine circumstances, soon after his birth, Lord Krishna was shifted to the house of Nand & Yashoda in Gokul. Lord Sri Krishna performed many Leelas in Gokul & Vrindavan. Many attempts were made by Kamsa to kill Lord Krishna, all went in vain. Finally Lord Krishna uplifted Dharma by killing his demonic uncle Kamsa.

Sri Krishna then shifted his Kingdom from Mathura to Dwarka, to protect the people of Mathura from incessant attacks by Jarasandha father-in-law of Kamsa. As the avatar of Lord Vishnu, Sri Krishna protected Dharmic People, killed demons and restored Dharma. Lord Sri Krishna is hailed as Jagadguru as he preached divine Bhagavad Gita to the whole of humanity through Arjuna.
