Red Alert Forecast - Schools, Colleges Holiday in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur Chengalpattu - October 15, 2024 Tuesday

Both schools and colleges will remain closed in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu and Thiruvallur districts on October 15, 2024 (Tuesday).

Due to heavy rains forecast, CM has directed District Collectors to declare leave for schools & colleges in the 4 districts. Details of other districts awaited.

Red alert has been issued for Chennai. CM has directed work from home for IT Employees. The decision is normally taken for administrative reason like avoiding travelling inconvenience and spread of disease to students.
