Urban Local Body Election in TN Will Be Conducted Before December, Says Minister

 - Tamil Nadu Urban Local Body Election will be conducted before December this year - Minister KN Nehru said in a press conference

- Rural Local Body elections to be completed by September 15th - There are complaints on reforms in local bodies & reservation for Women in local bodies

- DMK had won the State Assembly electon this year - Election for local bodies were not conducted for various reasons in the previous regime

- In Tamil Nadu Assembly polls DMK alliance had won 159 seats, AIADMK alliance had won 75 seats - DMK has bagged 125 seats i.e., more than half of assembly seats on its own

- In the past Local bodies were contested keenly not only by ruling and opposition parties but also by factions within parties cutting across party lines
