The 179th Sri Thyagaraja Aradhanai at Thiruvaiyaru will be held from January 3 to January 7, 2026.
The main event of rendering Pancharatna Kritis will be held between 9 am to 10 am on January 7, 2026 (Wednesday).

-- ends at 10.47 am on Jan 8, 2026 (Thursday).

About Thyagaraja Aradhana:
Saint Thyagaraja was a great Ram Bhakt & follower of Advaitam Philosophy. Sri Thyagaraja composed many soul stirrings compositions on Lord Ram.
Saint Thyagaraja attained Samadhi on Pushya Bahula Panchami day at the banks of River Cauvery at Thiruvaiyaru, Thanjavur.
Every year lakhs of Devotees and Carnatic Musicians will gather at the Samadhi of Saint Thyagaraja and pay respect to the Saint by singing the songs composed by him.
Special Abhishekam, Uchavarthi Bhajan from his House to Samadhi, Chorus rendering of Pancharatna Kritis, Procession of Sri Thyagaraja Idol (in evening) amidst the music of Pancharatna Mallari are some of the main events on the Aradhana Day.
Pancharatna Kritis:
On Jan 7th (Wednesday) from 9 am to 10 am IST Pancharatna Kritis composed by Sadguru Thyagaraja will be rendered by musicians. The Pancharatna Kritis are
1) Jagadananda Karaka (Ragam - Natai) composed in Sanskrit language,
2) Duduku Gala (Ragam - Goula) composed in Telugu language,
3) Sadhinchene (Ragam - Arabhi) composed in Telugu language,
4) Kanakana Ruchira (Ragam - Varali) composed in Telugu language,
5) Endaro Mahanubhavulu (Shree Ragam) composed in Telugu languge

ReplyDeleteNo tickets. Only passes are available. Each pass differs!VIP passes, donor passes, committee members passes. We musicians get a different pass to perform in the ensemble especially during pancharathna krithis singing. We have to collect the pass earlier. We should be waiting in the queue, after 7a.m,the admin will come, allow us inside .
