Tiruvannamalai Karthigai Deepam Thiruvizha 2025 Schedule

Thiruvannamalai Karthigai Maha Deepam will be lit on December 3, 2025 (Wednesday).

Ten days Karthika Deepam Thiruvizha in Tiruvannamalai Sri Arunachaleshwarar Thirukovil will be held from 24th November to 3rd December, 2025. The schedule is given below

Tiruvannamalai Maha Deepam on Dec 3rd - Info & Details:


-- In Tiruvannamalai Bharani Deepam will be lit at early morning at around 4 am on Dec 3rd in the Temple.

-- Then in the evening, Maha Deepam will be lit at around 6 pm at the top of 2668 ft high holy mountain.

Sri Arthanareeshwarar will give darshan to devotees in evening during the lighting of Maha Deepam. Thiruvannamalai Maha Deepam will be lit using nearly 3500 kgs of Ghee.

The MahaDeepam will be visible around in a radius of 35 km. The whole Mountain is Shiva Linga. Lakhs of devotees will perform 16 km Girivalam (circumambulation of the holy mountain)

The Moist Black Ash (what they call as 'Mai' in Tamil) that remains after the lighting of the Ghee & Cotton Wick will be distributed as Prasadam to devotees on the Marghazhi Arudra Darisanam day
