Union Government Hikes Dearness Allowance by 4% - Rajasthan State Government Too Hikes DA by 4%

- Union Government has hiked Dearness Allowance DA by 4% to Central Government Employees and Pensioners with effect from January 1, 2023

- DA for Central Government Employees now stand at 42% of Basic Salary said Union Minister Anurag Thakur. - The hike is based on accepted formula in 7th Central Pay Commission

 - This will benefit 47.58 lakh Central Government Employees and 69.76 lakhs Union Government Pensioners - The hike in DA will cost exchequer Rs 12, 815.60 Crores per annum.

- Rajasthan State Government too hiked DA by 4%. DA for Rajasthan State Government Employees and Pensioners now stands at 42% of basic salary with effect from Jan 1st 2023

- The decision by Ashok Gehlot led Rajasthan Government will benefit 8 lakh State Govt Employees and 4.40 lakh State Government Pensioners

- This will cost Rs 1,640 Crores additionally for State Government per annum - DA for Panchayat Samiti, Zilla Parishad employees too hiked
