- Valayal Kappu will be held in many Temples: On the auspicious day of Aadi Puram, Goddess Devi Shakti will be adorned with 'Valaikappu Alankaram' in many Temples in Tamil Nadu. (Valayal means with Bangles in English)
After Valaikappu Puja to Goddees Devi, bangles used for decoration of Ambal will be distributed to ladies devotees as Prasadam. It is believed that wearing the prasadam bangles, unmarried ladies will get married and married ladies will be blessed with children
