In Palani Malaikovil Kanda Sashti Festival will be held for 6-7 days. For the festival Aanayum Adi Mel Adi Vaithu Vizhamal Yerum Padalam Pazhaniyil. No Thanga Ratham on Sashti Viratham 6th day.
On Day 6: Kanda Sashti Thiruvizha:
- Darshan to Malaikovil i.e., ascending Malaikovil will be stopped by 11 am in the morning
- Sri Dandayuthapani Swami Utsavar with vel will proceed from Malaikovil to Adivaram for Soorasamharam
-- At 6 pm in Vadakku Giri Veethi Tarakasura Samharam will be held -- in Therkku Giri Veethi Singamukasuran Vatham -- in Merkku Giri Veethi Surasamharam
Boghar Siddhar tried to create deity of Goddess Shakti with Navapashanam. His Highness closed his eyes and started creating deity. On completion when Boghar Siddhar opened his eyes the vigraha of Kovanathudan Aandi Thirukolam Sri Baladandayuthapani was in place though the motive was to create Goddess Vigraha.
- Sri Bhogar Guru Pujai festival is held in Vaikasi Masam.
