Special Puja is held for Deities in Temple at early morning (starting at around 4.30 am) every day in Dhanur Maasam. In Tiruchendur, Temple opens at 3 am itself during Dhanurmasam
Special Bhajans will be held in early morning - In villages and Agraharam one can see bhajan troupes singing in procession along the Mada Veethis of Temple in Tamil Nadu
Dhanurmasam is called as Marghazhi Madham in Tamil Panchangam corresponds to December-January month in English Calendar every year. This year, there are are 30 days in the Marghazhi Month
In Tirupati during early morning of Dhanurmasam, Thiruppavai Parayanam will be recited in place of Suprabhatham. Dhanurmasa Darshan will be offered to devotees. (Note: Suprabhatam Seva Tickets will not be issued during Dhanur Masam in Tirupati)
